Our approach makes Zoom classes even more engaging than in-person ones.

We keep lecturing to a minimum and design our Zoom classes to revolve around discussion, workshopping student work, and other activities. We believe the basic Zoom social contract should be that if you’re going to ask for cameras on (we do), then the class should make you want to have your camera on.

We leverage social science insights to design classes with depth & stickiness.

Whether it’s positive psychology’s understanding of wellbeing, cognitive science’s understanding of learning & habit formation, or sociology’s understanding of race, our classes build on important academic ideas.

Our classes teach ideas that students can immediately start using to make change—for themselves, their communities, and their causes.
