how each workshop module is designed
Each module combines an interactive video lesson, in-class workshops, and independent iteration to impart a single valuable skill:
A pre-work assignment, often generating a rough first draft using a template
A live session, focused on collaboratively critiquing student work examples—identifying what is strong and what could be improved to elevate important concepts and improve student judgement
An assignment for students to independently iterate on their draft, using what they learned in the live session
A peer group meeting where students give and receive feedback on their drafts
An assignment for students to independently iterate on their draft, incorporating peer feedback
A live extension session to collaboratively critique more student work and introduce a concept or two to take the topic further
