A summer experience with high commitment to finding and exploring purpose.

The Kaleidoscope Summer Fellowship

In summer 2019, we're offering the following student fellowships:

  • Practical Psychology

  • Science & Society

  • Analytics for Problem Solving

  • Storytelling & Narrative

Learn more about the themes.

the fellowship model

  • Fellowships meet two nights a week—once to learn about the theme and once to do skills labs

  • Each week we introduce you to a new topic related to the theme

  • Each week we also run skills labs to teach immediately useful concepts like asking powerful questions, storylining, surveying, and analyzing data

  • The skills labs bring together students from across our fellowships

  • Each week you work with a coach to advance on a project of your choosing

  • Many weeks we have guest speakers who work in related fields

  • And, of course, we have dinner

By the end of the fellowship, you'll have had a chance to explore an interest and different ways of studying and acting on it.

Who it's for

  • Young adults, 16-18 years old

  • Who care about the world and want to make it better

  • Who don't have to miss more than two sessions—space in the fellowship is limited and so is our time together, so we want students who can fully commit

  • Fellowships will meet two nights a week from June 24th to July 29th

  • All sessions will run from 5:00-7:30 pm

  • Theme session evenings are still TBD

  • Skills labs will be on Thursday evenings

  • Sessions will be held in a public transit accessible location

  • Participation is selective but tuition-free
